My "day" started at 7:45pm last night.
I usually ride to work with a coworker but she called me saying her kid is sick so she won't be coming by. No problem - until I get outside and see that my rear tire needs to be aired up. I get that done at the local gas station but wait until I get closer to work to gas up.
When I go in to pay for my gas the lady working says "Has Adam gotten ahold of you"? I tell her no and she explains that a dog he adopted from the pound jumped his five days ago.
Grrreat - Adam lives in another town and the local Animal Control is horrible to deal with. I stopped by there on my way home. It wasn't open yet but I saw Chaos (the dog) in an outside run.
I hung around until the ACO arrived and we had to really hash out the release forms for the dog. As a "stray" Chaos only has 5 days to be held. Today is day6 - Chaos isn't an adoptable breed in the eyes of that county. We finally struck upon an agreement and Chaos rode home with me.
He was so excited to be here that he went bonkers, zooming through the house. While I had the kitchen sink cabinet open he ran through and his bull head hit a pipe - loosened it and I hada flood.
Once he was calmed and fed he bedded down. Adam is supposed to be here to pick him up sometime this morning. :?
I'm bone tired and ready for a nap. My eyes are stinging. I'm not sure if they're just dry from work - if I have allergies - of if I'm getting pink eye - or if I'm just a hypocondriac.
I have so many errands to run this morning, am already feeling like I'm running late and now I'm tied down to the house so the dog can return home.
Tonite I have to work 8 hours, a blessed relief from the 10 - 11 hour days I've been putting in while we restructure our work schedule at my overnight job.
The GOOD news is a lot of work on the house, yard and barn is getting done - as well as with the new shed. Before long I'll hardly recognize my own place!
I think right now I'm going to mull over the contents of the freezer to see if anything can stop the thunderbooms happening in my stomache.
