My Name is Marti, and my bunnie's name isBeatrix. She is a three year old netherland dwarf. Not quite albino, asshe has some grey on her ears and tail. Although I love her very much,I am having to make that difficult descision to give her to a betterhome, but only if I find the right one. I am a musician, and as such Iam travelling alot, and unfortunatley I cannot depend on others to lookafter her. I am on this forum to find help in relocating her to abetter home, so any advice is appreciated. I live in the Vancouver(Canada) area, if anyone knows of a home in the area she would be happyin. She does not live in a cage and I would like to keep it thatway.Thank you to those who have replied to my last post about notwanting her to become food. It's terrible to hear that this sort ofthing actually happens, and I will be very cautious in who I give herto.-Marti

Hi Marti!

I see Jordiwes has already given you some good info!

How long and how often are you normally away for?

It may be possible to come up with a network of bunny sitters in thearea for you, depending on how often you are gone and the length ofyour trips.

As for finding a new home if it comes down to it, I would make up acontract and do a home visit. Charging a small fee (it couldbe a donation to a charitable organization and then the adopter justhas to show you a reciept for the pament) will also help to weed outthe serious from the not so serious adopters.

PM me with details if you would like me to help find some bunny sitters in the area for you!

I want let everyone know how much I appreciatethe support I'm getting. The more and more I look into a new home forBeatrix, the more and more freaked out I'm getting. It has become veryapperent that my original suspicion of unwated adopters is a very realreality. I've invested to much love into my rabbit to see herpotentially get hurt. I will not give her up unless I am absolutelysure about the person taking her, it will most likely be someone Ialready know. If i have to keep her then I will make it work.

-Marti.

P.s.I will try and post a picture soon
