Is Vinegar alone an adequate cleaner for cages, etc.? Sources recommend
use with hydrogen peroxide (before or after the vinegar) but i assumethe peroxide has to be rinsed off & not allowed todry/evaporate?

That is a very good question. I know that I havedone just fine using vinegar alone. But I would like to know about thesafety of h[suB]2[/suB]o[suB]2[/suB] as well. I am sure it would dependon it's dilution.

I know ifd you are wanting to kill some types ofparadites, 6% hydrogen peroxide is needed, ald bleach for some others.but as a general cleaner I use Premise, the cdn equivalunt to vanadine(I think that's how it's spelled?) and also vinegar too

Wouldnt using vinegar alone make it stink of vinegar lol? :?

I always use straight white vinegar, and I have found it actually killsthe ammonia smell right off, and the vinegar smell goes away in acouple of minutes too. I use it to clean all my animal cages/coops now,for my ducks and chickens too.I love the fact that you neve have toworry about it making your rabbit sick. As far as I know, they won't beallergic to it either. And it's so darn cheap, LOL!

Isn't vinegar also used to discourage chewing?

That would be an added bonus - if I clean with vinegar she won't chewon her house but use instead the chew toys I bought for her! Yey!

I find once the vinegar dries up, the rabbitwill chew. A recommended way to discourage chewing is to rub theobjects with a natural bar soap, from the health food store, or manysupermarkets carry natural products now.
