WOW! We got snow! The first snow of the season and we got 4 inches! Kids had a 2 hour delay, I don't work today now - I'll work tomorrow morning - which is awesome since I am still not feeling 100% better!

I need to get out and do some Christmas shopping! I can't believe how late I am this year!!!

So glad to hear I'm not the only one running late with the Christmas shopping. Iwas completely done at this time last year!

I love snowy days! The storm you got is going south of us... :( they're not prediciting any for us...

It's still cold here, but at least the 50mph winds have stopped. Lots of trees and branches down. But clean up can wait til the weekend.

I'm usually done by Thanksgiving but like to be done by Halloween with my shopping - that doesn't happen much anymore tho.

This flu is still giving me trouble (got really sick last night and this morning) and I need to work tomorrow. I think I might have a fever right at the moment, too so it's not likely I'll do much today here.

Glad you missed the snow. it's beautiful but a pain right now also.

I think all we'll get is a dusting of snow today....enough to make the drive home miserable.

I may head home early today. I'd like to be home by sunset for the second night of Chanukah.
The kids get gifts every night, but MrsD and I decided not to spend too much on each other. She bought herself tickets to see Mama Mia on Broadway....I'm good with what I've already got. I usually get the Hess truck and the Budwieser Holiday beer mug, but I'd just put them in the pile with the rest.

I'm cooking dinner tonight, too. Something with ground beef...not much to work with in the pantry. Probably Sloppy Joes or tacos.....uhhhh...Sloppy Joes most likely.

Going to watch Miracle on 34th Street (the remake), then Santa Claus is Coming to Town, then Ghost Hunters, then go to bed.
I should try to vacuum the buns room a little....in between playing with my laptop, cooking, eating, and feeding the buns.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

I finally am feeling more like myself again. The headache is gone, but I still have some sinus congestion.
We're still pretty sure that it was a sinus infection, but my Dr prefers not to prescribe antibiotics. She says that patients don't recover any quicker when she does prescribe them, and then they chance building up an immunity to them.
There was just a big article in the news about the same thing.

Wehad fun inthe snow today. The kids went sledding in the park and I enjoyed a jog through the woods and along the lake.

Then, I braved a sled ride down the hill ;)

I also scheduled my college placement testing for next Wed. I'm so excited - at 44 yrs. of age, I am going back to school! Not sure how it'll work out for me time-wise. I signed up for the pre-nursing program and am hoping I'll be able to take some courses on-line and do theA&P labsover the summer. I'll be paying as I go along, so will only be starting with 1 or 2 classes. My daughter is in pre-nursing, so I won't need to buy any books ;)

White out Wednesday.... no doubt!

The roads that lead us to civilization are full of fields and no ditches. So we will experience white outs for a day or two and will probably clear up just in time for the next storm.

I haven't been outside yet today but from inside the house it appears we recieved about3to 4 inches of that white stuff. The storm started coming in around midnight and stayed for most of the morning. When I looked this afternoon my television area had 250 closings and about 10 delays.

So it's been a nice relaxing day full of naps. I so can't wait to get over this cold as I'm tired of having 3 full days of napping and meds.

Congrats Pam on going back to school! :D
