I am currently feeding MannaPro brand Pro formula for my rabbits and am wondering if it is a good feed. Here are the basics from the bag...
Protein-16%
Fat-2.5%
Fiber-16-21%
Calcium-.75-1.25%
Phosphorus-.5%
Salt-.25-.75%
Vitamin A- 3000 IU/lb

I just bought this bag of food and it should last a while (25lbs). The other brand of food that I can get is LM Animal Farms small animal diet for rabbits. Here are the basics for it...
Protein-13%
Fat-3%
Fiber-18-22%
Calcium-.4-.9%
Phoshorus-.6%
Salt-.4-.9%
Vitamin A- 6000 IU/lb

When it comes time to buy another bag what should I buy? Is what I am feeding now good for the rabbits? (1 Mini Rex and 1 Jersey Wooly).

No matter what kind you get, all that you can't use within 2 months is going to go bad unless it's put in a freezer container or 2 & frozen until needed.

Nutritional breakdown only means so much if you dont post the ingredients and the age/breed of your rabbits.

Both are alfalfa based foods. The rabbits are both does that are over 1 year of age (one rabbit is 2 year 2 months, the other was born I believe January 11, 2011). I do not have the bags with me so can not look at the ingredents. (I am out of town with the bunnies). I do not think that I can get Oxbow rabbit feed where I am. I am stuck using one of the 2 that I listed.

EDIT: one rabbit is a Mini Rex and the other is a Jersey Wooly.

I use Oxbow and have it shipped to my house. You should be able to use the bag you open within 60 days for max freshness & store the bag in a cool dry place.

I just looked into that food. WAY too expensive. There is no place that sells it anywhere near me. I also looked on Dr Foster & Smiths website and for 2 10lb bags + shipping it would be over $30. I can get a 25lb bag of food from tractor supply for $10. The Oxbow does not have enough protein anyway's. I talked to a breeder today and they said that I need 16-18% protein in any food.

16-18% protein is too high for rabbits over 6 months and will fry their little kidneys. Nevermind the extra calcium from it being alfalfa based adding to sludge issues.

You get what you pay for...
