I'm sorry, but I don't know. I'd look up the ingredients... Someone moreexperienced will come along... I don't feed my rabbits any of those.

I've heard of people on the forum using Purina... but Purina has terrible, fattening, low-rated, unhealthy food for dogs, so I don't expect much better from their rabbit food to be honest... So in my opinion.. I wouldn't trust it and I would never feed it to my rabbits.

But it's really your choice, lol.

Iv heard the same about the purina dog and cat food too but I was unsure about the purina bunny food too...
Hmm, hopefully someone else will come around with there opinion soon.

thanks Yield

Yeah, I hate Purina XD
But yeah, I agree.

To me so far, looking at the ingredients ...

They all don't sound too good to me, unless you have a younger bun. Alfalfa is usually okay until the bunbun is 6 months old, but then it should be timothy based I think.. Alfalfa is fattening and for it to be the first ingredient..

The pellets I feed my bun, the firstingredient is: Sun-cured timothy grass hay.. and there are fresh ground veggies in the food...

Also, it contains no soy or wheat.. which I heard is bad.

From a website I found:

A good quality rabbit pellet should have at least 22% crude fiber, no more than approximately 14% protein, about 1% fat and about 1.0% calcium.

Most commercial pellets are alfalfa-based, which means they're higher in calories and lower in fiber than timothy-based pellets.

The pellets I feed my bunbuns match that "good quality rabbit pellet" pretty well. XD

I'd look at that stuff :p Anyways.. yeah, glad to help :p

does anyone know of a site I can order food from that is healthier than the links I gave?

Someone else should know more about the Purina food, but I think it's good quality (as compared to the dog and cat foods).

Pet rabbits really need such a small amount of pellets daily that it could be either alfalfa or timothy based. They should be eating mostly hay, fresh grass or greens.

Hope that helps!

Rue

P.S. Found this threadabout feeds that's very informative: http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=58195&forum_id=48&highlight=purina
