Anybody hear from Crystal? (AngelnSnuffy). I think they're getting the tail end of Ike, too, but I checked and she hasn't been here since late night of the 11th (early AM on the 12th) and that was pre-storm.

Its weird around here without her!

:?

Wow, I don't know! Maybe she had some things to do? Would she be involved with rescue efforts?

I was going to post this question also. She always follows up on everything late in the evening.

Please try to contact her as now I am very worried. it's not like her

PLEASE! I haven't had a chance to talk to her recently and I hope everyone this ok. Tell her we miss her!

Hey guys! I'm so sorry! Everything's fine. Friday night I got caught up watching the hurricane coverage. Satand Mon nights we bowl and hang out afterward, then since Hubby is on vacation this week, we went out and didn't plan on it last night, but decided to last minute.(we were actually planning to go out tonight too, but hubby is too tired, so I'll be here:)). I'm sorry to worry everyone:(,I should've let you all know so that didn't happen;). But, I'm here and all is well:).

Sas, we did get a ton of rain and most people's basements flooded, including ours, but we didn't get that much in ours, thank goodness! Hope everyone is well.:)

Aw, thanks Maureen, you're so sweet! You know I love you too, girl!:DSince bowling has started, the only nights I won't be on are Monday and Saturdays.

Thanks for your concern everyone, you are all so sweet.

I'm glad you're ok! I'd worried about you as well- normally when I log in in the mornings, I see your posts everywhere. I missed them!

The cheek of you, having a social life lol! :p

Hope you dried out your basement as soon as possible no matter how small it was. Mold can be a bad thing.

One year our neighbours basement flooded when they were on holidays, and we had to vacuum out the water and turn fans on to dry it out. Good thing I took lots of pictures, because the insurance saw my pictures and they paid out right away.

Thanks Stan! Ya know what? We heard that on the news the other night, a guy who came to suction water out of someone's basement said mold can get bad. Makes sense to me, Our basementis mostly dry now, but, we have stuff down there that will need thrown out:(, we'll be doing that rest of this week.;)

Thanks, again Stan, cuz if I hadn't heard that on the news, it would be much more invaluable. Thank you!:)

We had a flood one year and didn't know it... the sump pump failed (actually we've had a couple of them).... anyhow..... We hadn't been down there cause we weren't aware of it because we were gone when the rain hit so hard that day.

A couple of days later - it started to smell really bad....

It was a sort of terracotta colored mold that grew on EVERYTHING that got wet.....

GROSS!
