I am somewhat puzzled at the moment. I have been having a lot of problems getting Ember to become pregnant but after I felt her abdomen the last few nights I am certain she has taken at long last:woohoo
The thing that confuses me though is that I only bred her last on 11 July, so about a week ago. Isn't it a bit early to feel anything? I am actually beginning to wonder is she even further gone like 3 weeks? The last time before that breeding I mated her on 26 June which would mean she'd be due around the 26 July (in about a weeks time)
I would love to have the babies sooner rather than later and I am wondering what others think is more likely.

You can feel babies as early as 10-11 days some people you say you can't feel them after 14 days but I have no problems finding babies personally. To be safe I would give her a nest box now as you don't want babies on the wire.

14 days is the optimal time for palpating. Earlier and the kits may feel like fecal pellets or be impossible to find. Later, they smoosh into other organs making them harder to discern (especially if there is fat buildup around the reproductive organs).

At day 14, the kits feel like grapes and can generally be easily palpated in the lower abdomen.

To be honest I have only ever been able to feel the babies at the later stages of gestation but I go more by the general taught feeling of the stomach (Even though I do realize it can be misleading). To me she feels like about two weeks or so but that's impossible as she is either 3 or 1 week. Would a doe have a slightly larger taught abdomen as early as 1 week down the line? I don't remember being so sure before as early as that.
