I was wondering if wheat grass was ok to give tobunnies? I have thought about growing some for my house as a decorationand for munching. I know you can get kits and stuff for it for us, butI wasn't sure it was ok for bunnies.Since it would be eaten fresh wouldall the water content be ok?

I also wanted to grow african violets but I have a feeling that theyare not good for bunnies or chinchillas in my case.

Fresh wheat straw is fine -- start out withsmall amounts and don't leave it in the cage more than 24 hours (moldmay begin to grow on it).

I'm confused.. are we talking about the same stuff? I'm talkingabout the grass you can get for like health drinks and stuff....:?

I was thinking of the matured wheat -- but yes,the very young wheat (wheat grass) is fine. Just give verysmall amounts starting outand do not leave in the cage formore than 24 hours due to the possibility of mold/spoilage.
