Hello,
I am looking into getting some ND to show. What exactly should I look for and how do you pose them? Thanks for everyones help in advance.

Overall you need balance in netherlands everything should be in proportion so if it has a small head and a big long body it won't look right. Look for a nice bold eye. straight short ears that are right on top of the head not leaning to the back. You don't want to feel any pin bones over the back end ( hip bones) a nice chest remember that nethies should look like 2 balls nice round head on a nice round body when posing the front legs should sit in line with the ear ( side view) You want good wide shoulders. Think bulldog of the rabbit world lol

Depending where you get your nethie from may depend on how they pose. some sit higher than others.

This is Yoda he is one of my prize winners. old pic tho when I had just got him so not the best pose. he excels in body nice and round, you can hardly get your hands over his shoulders ( tho I am small lol) lovely bold eye and ears that are in proportion to his body. his ears are straight to as in make sure they don't bow when you look at them straight on. and a good round head. he is a bit long in body when he sits low. The eye should sit closer to the nose than the ear

not the best pic but this is Yoda front on you want good width of head but not across the forehead so much as across the nose especially if you are looking at a youngster as it will give you an idea of how the head will come in ( they ususally look quite wide over the forehead and it can fool you into thinking the head will come in)

This is one of my does when she was younger. she is a big ugly doe now and you can see her head and ears are out of proportion and her body is long. HOWEVER the last 3 bucks I have kept to show with have come off this doe!! This is why especially with does if you can see their sire and grandsire as well as mother grandmother you will know whther they are worth keeping you want really good lines from the buck then she will throw out good babies from my experience anyway!! does will usually be longer in body and tend not to have the shape of bucks mind you my nieces sable line throws much typier does!!
