Last Thursday which is Jan 27th, we had unexpected baby bunnies. Ellie delivered 5 babies. It's a shame that we thought she was getting fat. Who knew she was carrying 5 babies. We are so sorry for her. Anyway, what should I feed her? She's taking care of her babies very well. I've been giving her Alfalfa pellets and hays since I know they have more nutrition than others. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, I've been giving her unlimited Alfalfa hay and pellets. I can tell she getsexhausted and tired easier than before. What else should I feed her?

was it an intentional breeding? if not separate the doe and the buck because she can get pregnant the day after giving birth

No it wasn't intentional. They mated sometime late December and we didn't know. Haven was neutered 2nd week of January, and Ellie delivered babies on Jan 27th. They are getting along just fine, so we put them in smae space from time to time, so they can play each other, not all the time though.

ohh if he's desexed it should be fine but be careful, i dont know how true it is but i've heard of viable semen still being in the penis of the neutered male for up to 8 weeks after desexing...
