what sort of food can help a rabbit who have chronic kidney failure? I heard vitamin B can help, but I would like a list, including herbal food, any food that can help

other than increased water consumption, I am not aware of any foods that can help your rabbit other than avoiding high protein foods (which you should be doing anyway) and free choice green leafy foods ( which you should also be doing anyway- get more water in the diet that way). I would be very wary of giving a rabbit with CRF pellets as these have zero moisture and tend to have excessive protein. NOt sure how vitamin B helps, but it is pretty harmless.

If there are kidney stones, I would make sure the pellets have the lowest maximum calcium you can find.

Per RABBIT HEALTH IN THE 21ST CENTURY, the following help rabbits' kidneys:

fennel
parsley
gravel root [perhaps available at a health food store] I see amazon.com has it.

Thank you every1. I just finished seeing the vet today. He said fatty acid will help. And you can get that from the Harrison brand SunShine Factor.

there is no fennel in this city. But I can buy parsley.

i wonder if the substance inside gravel root is similar to Sunshine factor.

Lakecondo, do you know what's inside Gravel Root that's good for a bun's kidney?

fennel is easy to grow even if you're pretty fail at plants (as I am)... I don't remember if I got my fennel from home depot or the plant nursery place, but it's probably not too hard to find the plant version (as opposed to the grocery store version) :)
