This will probably sound like a very weird question to people who have owned rabbits for a long time. But I have owned rabbits for like just less than a year now, and Apollo is going through a very heavy shed. His fur is getting everywhere. In the air, in his water, and I found a big clump on the corner of my carpet. But those aren't really my biggest problems. He's being getting on and off conjunctivitis for the past two months and it had slowed down recently, so I haven't seen any wetness for like two weeks. I'm not going to talk about that again, I already made a thread about it. This morning, he had a string of fur in his eye and it was wet again but I think it was due to the fur in his eye. I check him every day and it wasn't there yesterday. I brush him out once a day, everyday, with my fingers and our comb from smallpetselect (but the comb doesn't work well for him). I clean his blankets every week and swap them out with clean ones.
I flushed the fur out of his eye with saline solution but now his eye looks weird/sickly. Which I know he isn't.
Does anyone have any tips or advice for me and what to do? I don't want him to keep getting fur in his eye because i'm doing something wrong.

Also: I use saline solution once a day on each eye, to keep up with it being healthy.

For the shedding I suggest this brush: https://www.amazon.co.uk/MIU-COLOR-Deshedding-Grooming-Undercoat/dp/B00DQ48TT6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1RS3FA8L246UA&dchild=1&keywords=deshedding+tool+for+dogs&qid=1584410044&s=pet-supplies&sprefix=deshedding+,aps,291&sr=1-5. I got one like it for Theo and it works so well!
I also suggest getting a fur remover: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Simple-Sol...pet-supplies&sprefix=gonzo+pe,pets,293&sr=1-2. If you use it 2 times a day and use it on every surface in your room that has fur on it, it should prevent him from getting fur in his eyes. Rabbit fur normally floats so maybe spray some water in the air to get it to fall to the floor.

Do you still have medication for conjunctivitis? I would give a little to him if his eye starts looking sickly. Continue to flush his eye with saline solution if you think that is helping, but if it is making it worse then I would stop. In another thread, I think @Cloverhouse said that if you can't get to the vet or don't have the money you can use Neosporin to treat conjunctivitis.

Thank you! I’ll ask my Dad to get the brush for me and I think that we have a few of those fur removers for our dog so I’ll definitely see if I could take one! I don’t have prescribed medicine for his eye, the saline solution is definitely working so I’ll keep using it, once a day. And I’ll also check out Neosporin. Thanks!
