I don't understand this!
Can anyone explain me this?

(sorry for my bad english attainments- i come from germany!)

lovely greetings micki... ;)

AM and PM with regards to time: Am isthe morning, before noon and PM is after noon. So 9am is 9 inthe morning, and 9pm is 9 at night.

PM can also mean Private Message, and many members of this board that abbreviation.

I hope that helps to clear things up.

Naja, i don't think about pm not about private message... ;)
I means the time...

But in the afternoon it means (in german) 21.00 not 9.00pm

There are two ways of telling time.

The 24 hour clock, which seems to be what you are used to, and the 12 hour clock using AM and PM.

So, to translate from 24 hour to 12 hour: If the time isbefore 12, then it is AM and if it is past 12 it is PM. So,11 = 11am and 13 = 1pm.

It's Tuesday for where I am too.

You should be able to set your personal preferences to display your own time zone.

If you click on the button "My Account", and then click on preferences, you should be able to change the clock from 12 hour to 24 hour, andchange your time zone.

Hi Micki,

"AM" and "PM" are actually abbrevations of Latin phrases:

ante meridiem and post meridiem

USAGE NOTE By definition, 12 A.M.denotes midnight, and 12 P.M. denotes noon, but there issufficient confusion over these uses to make it advisable to use 12noon and 12 midnight where clarity is required.
I think it's kind of confusing, myself, and can understand why most Europeans use a 24-hour clock.

I don't think you can, unless they make a special 24 hour analog clock...

Which I have just been told by my room mates that they do make. 1-12 is on the outside, and 13-24 is on the inside.
