What makes a dwarf a dwarf? Or a Netherland dwarf a Netherland dwarf? Or a mini rex a mini rex? Is it the size of the ears? The weight? The size/length?

What are the qualifications of a breed of rabbit? Is it written somewhere?:?

Each recognized breed has a standard of perfection. It basically tells what the ideal rabbit of that breed it. It details things like weight, ears, face, body type, fur/wool, colour and condition. Each breed has things that are worth more than others. An angoras wool is worth a lot, while the ears on a lop would be worth more for them.

There is a book called the ARBA Standard of Perfection that contains all the requirements. I assume there is one for the other showing organizations all over the world as well.
