I am trying to go over the lists and try to create a nice diet for Isabella...as I know from the foster family she likes and does well with them...however...

When the site states Melon....which kind does it mean...as I don't tend to eat them, I am not familair...

Thanks

probably mean cantaloupe, musk melon watermelon.

However
this fruit is super high in sugar and if you give it should only be given as a treat in a very small quantity.

I am not sure of her weight..but I am guessing somewhere between 2-3 pounds...leaning towards 3....

From what I have gathered so far:

For buns 7 months to 1 year and some from 1- 5 years...

1/4 cup of timothy pellets

Fruit - no more then 1/2 - 1 tablespoon per day

Veggies - 1 cup per day

I intend to keep a wide vareity of hays unless we find some she does not care for at all...except alfalfa....Simon was way too addicted to that stuff and I prefer to stay away from it and anything that may have it mixed in...unless the Vet says she needs it for some reason.

The current Fosters are giving her,...

"She’s a good eater and has healthy poo. She loves timothy hay. We give her OxBow Bunny Basics T pellets, timothy hay, two baby carrots or one apple slice daily (We really limit the sugar intake for all of our rabbits.), and a mixed green salad (normally romaine, red leaf, cilantro, and parsley) daily. Every now and then, I will give her a small slice of banana. I can’t find the vet invoice right now that has her weight on it, but I know she is not over 4 pounds. She’s very dainty and her fluffy fur makes her look bigger than she really is. "

That diet sound fine ; some rabbits don't do particuarly well with a veggie that a another rabbit could handle . So even from the safe list you have to try them out in small amounts.

I think all mints are fine but sinceI never feed it to my buns wait for some feedback from someone on here who does.

Most of the sites do just say "Mint" and that it is Ok but I can't find specific mints either

Thanks!....It will feel like a treat for me to be able to give a bun these new things. We became so used to our green leaf romaine lol...Simon never did well with things...not fruits, veggies, papaya tabs...sigh..

I would like to go slow and find out what she likes and what she can have so that over time I can change things up, but know what I will need to stay away from. I plan on trying to keep her diet the exact same for at least the first if not two weeks she is here to hopefully make it an easier change without upset...
