Is carpet chewing bad for the bunny? I know it's not good if it's in the middle of your living room but what if it's in his cage? What kind of carpet is okay for chewing/digging? Peaches has his cage in the basement and it's linoleum floor which he slides on, so I put down hubby's kiddy blanket (batman - the thing is really old and has lots of fuzzy pills all over it) Peaches I think eats those pills - fiber?? - and he loves to dig in there - I also made a blanket out of yarn (not sure what kind) and he likes to dig in that piled blanket too - he chews/nibbles it but I'm not sure if he eats it.

Can I put leftover carpet in his cage for him to tear up? It's carpet that needs an underpad - the underside is kinda stiff and the carpet is made of a twisted pile (not sure what the material is). I want to make a dig box for him but I don't want to be stuck cleaning up all the paper shreads so I let him dig in my garden and then I have a black bunny for a while!

my bunnies chew on carpet remenents that i set sor them to lay on cuz i have hard wood floors. i assume its not good for them but they also chew the rubber mats i have for them:disgust:
