I've been wondering because he's a decent size- and he's VERY lean. Not an ounce of chub on him. He's got really long legs and a long body. And he's soooo hyper. (Yet he lovessss to cuddle and be pet).

I know he's a mix, I was just hoping someone would have an idea what could be mixed in him.

Looks just like Scamp (wild rabbit). If he was in the UK I'd guess he was a domestic/wild cross or had some in his near ancestry but you don't get that in the US. He's probably a mix of something like dutch/english the sort of rabbit shaped rabbit breeds.

I'd like to know his size, but he sure looks like he has some Belgian Hare in his lineage. Belgian Hares have long, thin bone and are very lean.

Exactly what I was thinking! Looks to definitely have some Belgian in him!

[align=center]Yeah, that's what I was thinking! As soon as I interacted with him, and felt how lean his body was, I was thinking he might be part belgian hare. He's about the size of this belgian hare actually:

I totally want him, he's so hyper, but once you pick him up, he's soooo cuddly! But he's an escapee- he's in a pen three NIC panels high, and they have to cover it cause he can still escape!

I've seen Hares jump to incredible heights - I don't think there's anything that can hold them in. ;)

It's surprising how plump and stubby legged we've bred pets to be. The Belgium Hare which seems quite an extreme shaped rabbit is actually one of th more similar to normal shaped.

Does he look like like this:

[align=center]That looks a lot like him!!!

[align=center]Here is a video and pictures that I took of Thompson.

Doesn't look as much like that picture as I initially thought.. XD

He looks more rabbit to us than hare. On the escaping note, we had a Holland Lop, a Black Otter mini, and a Sealpoint Netherland Dwarf that would climb wire playpens, enclosures, and even the sides of hutches--they didn't have to jump over. We had to cover the top of the playpen to keep them in and stop using wire and nic panels for barricades.
