Hello all =)

Penny my approx 4-5 month holland lop has been running around me in circles every time I let her out of the cage for the past two days.

10 minutes ago I let her out of the cage and again she ran around me in circles multiple times BUT she was also thumping her foot?


What is she saying to me?

she's showing love to you. Also it's because of her hormone. that's why she's courting and thumping Do you plan to get her spayed ?

Lately she's been making this soft buzzing sound =S?

Also... since she trying to get me to be her "mate" does that mean she is at least 6 months +? I thought she was 4-5 months?

I do plan on spaying her =) Maybe next month? I hope she'll still be lovey!

Yes, she is definitely saying 'I love you'! My Albie used to do this to me too (running around my legs in circles, making a low humming sound) until I got him neutered. Now he runs around me 2-3x as if to say hello in the mornings when I let him out of his cage. (o:

I think you're right about her age. My girl started courting us and so on since she was about 4-5 months old. So I think their hormone starts earlier, but the 6 months old of age is the age when most of the vets prefer to do the spaying operation for female buns.
And yes, the soft buzzing sound is the part of it. Cute,right ? Hehehe. I found it cute too, until my girl didn't want to sleep or to eat... she was like whole day whole night courting us. That's not good for their health.
Did you have a savy bunny vet yet ? Take her to the vet for checking up her health and the vet will decide when she will be ready for the operation. Good luck on that

Your bun is saying "I LOVE YOU!!!!" and then "WHERE IS MY TREAT, CUDDLE, PLAYTIME!!!!!!!!!"

Your bun is having a HUGE dialogue with you (what happened while you were gone, etc) and you just have to learn his/her language.

So much fun to do, enjoy it and you'll find you can speak another language.:biggrin:

The buzzing sound is excitement I think. Guy makes that noise when he's firstlet out of his cage or he's getting undivided attention. He buzzes as he runs around lol.
