:(Okay this has been a really bad year work wise. As a small business we are just keeping our heads above water like so many others out there. Christmas is a really expense season, even when you don't buy a lot, everyone has expectations, whether you like to or not. Yesterday coming home from Vernon just 3 blocks from home a lady turned right in front on us, looked but just kept turning. Tried to stop, another 10 feet and we would have been okay, but were on the downhill and just couldn't. Got over as far as we could to avoid her as much as possible, but still took out grill, hood and drivers fender on our car. No one seriously hurt, I have degenerative spinal disease, so need to be checked out, arms and back hurt and have imprint of seat belt, but other than that except for being weepy and feeling sorry for myself am alright. Len is a lot taller and was driving so didn't even feel the impact. Lucky we didn't T-bone her as she had a car full of kids. Only paid $700 for the car, don't know if insurance will fix it or just pay us a ridiculous amount as it is a 1992, although it has very low mileage. Paper coming back at this point said other driver 100% responsible. Leaves us without a vehicle for Xmas or whatever, as we just finished putting ever spare cent into tires and last of anything mechanically wrong with this car. :X Positive note, no one was seriously hurt so need to be gratiful for that blessing and quit feeling sorry for myself. :pray:As my husband says be grateful we are not dodging bullets, flooding, burning up or starving like some. Amen

Ugh.. I hate stupid drivers who are oblivious to others. Glad no one got seriously injured though. I hope insurance covers either the repairs or a new car especially since the other driver was responsible. Sending good thoughts your way!

As my mom always says, " some people drive like they've got paper heads!". Glad you're not hurt :)

I am so sorry this happened :( It is always a hassle to deal with insurance, and hopefully you can get a good car for the settlement. I'm glad no one was hurt, but I'm sure you are really sore

This is a hard time of year, but it's good to look on the bright side. Snuggle up with your cutie Benjamin, that will make you feel better. Becky sends bunny kisses for you all.

Car accidents are terrible! Many years ago before we were married Jason and I were in a horrible wreck. He was trying to help me with my seatbelt as it was broken and I could not get it. We also had a friend in the backseat. Jason missed a stopsign and we were t-boned on his side by a truck. We spun backwards and were hit again by the same truck. We then wrapped the trunk into a tree causing our friend to go threw the back windshield. I dislocated my shoulder and knee (still hurts) our friend got 87 stitches in his face and my husband had a ruptured spleen, punctured lung, broken arm and 5 broken ribs. He was on a ventilator for two days..... Yep car accidents are no fun!

I am glad that you are okay and I hope that the insurance will provide you with a new and better car.

Snuggle with Benjamin and get plenty of rest.

Make sure you keep track of every expenditure that came about as a result of the accident. Before you discuss settling on the worth of your car, even though it's older, IT HAD NEW TIRES, and................They will definitely try to lowball you. I was T-boned by a moving van that ran a red and they offered me less for my car than the new tires I had put on two days before cost me. They were such a joy and I was pretty wracked up, so I got a lawyer. They also paid for a rental car. Cheer up and get better.
