I am going to show this rabbit next weekend, it is a mini rex junior doe that is 4 months old. A couple of questions

Forgive me but I have never been to a show.

What color is she? its pedigree says black (seal), but for some reason I'm paranoid (I don't want to enter in wrong class)

I weighed her and she weighs 3 12 ounces on the button the standard says that the most she can weigh is 3.75 lbs without being bumped up to the senior class...is it alright to put her on a diet for a week (limit hay, little less pellets).

Also I am showing two other rabbits, a junior blue doe and a junior broken buck. Both my does are solid colors (although different variety) so will they compete against each other or will they be in separate classes? and if so how does that work (will I have to haul both rabbits up at same time)

Thanks

I would put an wooden box in with her, flip it so she can jump up and down from it. So she can build a little muscle or let her graze exercise in the yard.. Mini Rex's should only get about 1/2 cup daily plus their hay.. And she looks kinda like an seal. I also have an seal in MR!

The differences between seal and black are very slight. To me, your bun looks like a slightly sunbleached black, but that's common for seals to look that way. I think the real tell will be to look at the undercolor. A bluish undercolor would indicate a black, where a sepia brown undercolor would be a seal. The belly is a good place to look for this color.

I would enter her as a senior if she's that close to the weight limit for a junior.

As far as the judging goes, breeds are broken down into groups first (doesn't apply here, but just for info), then into varieties, followed by class (combination age and gender). Your two does will be judged separately in their classes and varieties, but if they get BOV (or BOSV), they will compete against each other for BOB. Depending on the number of entries in a class, variety, etc., you may (and very likely will) have two or all rabbits on the table at the same time. Don't worry, though, they will be in show coops, not free roaming, so you won't have to handle them--just get them to the coop.

After broken into varieties and colors get called to the table alphabetically, I did not know that the first time I showed. I was thankful every one I was up against was happy to have more competition.(I gave them enough entrants to get qualifying legs)
