I was wondering if anyone had a guess on what breed(s) Tobi is. She weighs somewhere around 4 pounds, I think. (I haven't weighed her, myself; I took her to the vet a few months ago for an eye/ear problem, but we couldn't get an appointment and had to drop her off, so I wasn't there to see her weight. (She's about the same size as Nick, though, and he's 4.5 pounds.)

Here are a couple pictures:

Tobi is pretty slender. She also has a pretty huge attitude, and lots of energy. A woman at the vet clinic suggested Tobi might be a Silver Marten.
I was told she was originally a fair prize, from a breeder. If she was just given away, I suspect she is a mix, or doesn't fit standards to be bred or shown or sold?

Thanks!

She is def. not a Silver Marten. She could be an American Sable but she looks a bit small to be one.

How old were you told she was?
How much does she weigh?

She is about 2 years old, and weighs about 4 pounds.

I have had her for just over a year, she's def. done growing.

I also thought she might be American Sable, when we first got her, but aren't they much larger?

Her body type is similar to some of the mini rex mixes at my local shelter. Actually, quite a bit like my mama bun Jazzy that I fostered through two litters. Three of her babies had rex fur, the rest were normal and all possible dads had normal fur. Oh, and mixed uppy, helicopter, and loppy ears too. :)

That's a possible rex fur color, isn't it?

Tobi's fur is pretty coarse. The black fur on her face/ears/feet is pretty soft, but the gray fur is not very soft. If I look down at her, I can see the guard hairs sticking out, like a spiky aura!
