Well, this is for Berry-Boo. She's my new foster bunny, and I was curious of what breed she may be. As for her color, I don't even know where to start. She's a dove-gray color. She's pretty much the same color as a mourning dove.

I used to breed dwarf hamsters, and one coat color is called dove (brownish-gray coat with red eyes). Her coat color is the close as the dove dwarf hamster coat color, except Berry-Boo is a tad more gray and has brownish eyes though.

Berry-Boo is approximately 3-1/2 months old and weighs 3.35 pounds. She has the short, velvety fur like a Rex/Mini-Rex.

My guess is that she is a lilac-colored Mini-Rex with a broken pattern.

What do you all think? (sorry for the dark image, this was the best picture that I have of her (from both angles!) That's why I added the extra links for the colors of other animals.

She looks like a Mini Rex... she could be a broken blue, broken lynxora broken Opal. (Are there any "rings" of color when you blow on the darker fur?) She is beautiful! Such a lovely butterfly on her nose nice markings. Very pretty

My Gosh Berry-Boo is adorable. Love the name too.

She's only 3 1/2 months old, she looks so big.

Are you going to keep her to be a friend to Toby?

We were thinking of keeping her. We are hoping that Toby gets along with her OK. We have introduced them (Toby is neutered and Berry-Boo is getting fixed soon) because they kept harassing each other through the bars (Toby kept escaping from his area to get by her). They got along for the most part, except Toby was being "inappropriate bunny". I've heard this is OK, though. They won't have any more bunny dates until she is fixed and healed up 100%. I just wanted them to know where that "strange bunny smell" was coming from lol

Edit:

Oh! I almost forgot! Her fur is that dove color on the outside, but when you blow on her fur, it's more of a caramel/dark(er) honey color underneath.

rex. 3 1/3 pounds at 3 1/2 months? i'm not sure, but that sounds like a 'standard' rex. her ears look big for a rex, though:p

she's very cute:biggrin2:

Some Mini Rex are that heavy, especially does, especially Brood type does. They are expected to be at adult weight by 6 months of age. She will probably weigh about 4 1/2 to 5 lbs at maturity, and yeah, that's still a mini rex. (And yes, she could go way over that if over indulged.)

Well, when she was at the vet on Thursday, she weighed in at 3.5#. So, she didn't go up too much in weight. Here's her now... The gunk on her tummy is from her spay. I don't know what it is, but it was there at the vet's. I'm assuming iodine or something similar?

She looks like a broken lynx and she's absolutely gorgeous! I love her! and Mini-rex are awesome little bunners!

So far, she's been really good. She's more destructive than Toby is, though. She's a carpet puller and digger. She also nudges you out of the way... Toby just finds a way around you lol

OH congrats on the foster! I hope you keep her she is so adorable. Looks like a Mini Rex to me too. Do you have any more pics??? I can't get enough of her cuteness. OH and did you see we beat the record for most users online tonight!

MikeScone has a favorite saying about mini-rex - something like "A whole lot of personality wrapped up in that tiny, soft body"

He's right....

Bo's a digger, and carpet puller and thinks he is in charge of most things (until we let Clover out with him - then she rules lol).....

He actually stacks stacking cups, he loves to have puzzle type games that are simple like that (usually put this into that).... He creates them with items from his cage that he tries to put through the grids.....

He plays fetch, he plays toss and thinks he's quite funny I'm sure of it!

The cats and dog fear him.

I have scars from his disapproval..... not bad ones but I have a couple.

He's also one of the best pets I have ever had. I love him to pieces!

Haha! Berry-Boo nudges us a lot if we're in her way. She seems to be attached to Will more than me lol. I don't mind, 'cause that means he has his own pet! :D

I Raise Mini Rex and Berry-Boo is a Broken Lilac Mini Rex. He is too dark to be a Broken Lynx, as I raise Lynx Mini Rex myself. If you read the Standards of Prefections it states that lilac is to be an even Medium dove Gray with a slightly lighter dove gray to the skin line. Eyes are to be a Blue Gray, Ruby cast permissible.

I hope this helps you out

If the undercoat is that color amber/honey then I suspect that it is some sort of an Agouti, But most likely not showable. With that colorundercoat it could be crossedwith a dirty lynx and that would cause the color of an undercoat.
