I believe they can get in the 10lb range? Not 100% sure on that tho. Is this a new addition to your bunny family?

The difference is that a Californian that is over 8 months in age should weigh between 8 and 10 pounds.

A Himalayan that is over 6 months in age should weigh between 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 pounds.

They also have different type...Californian is a meat breed withcommercial type. They are medium in length with depthequaling width. However, Himalayans have cylindricaltype. They are long, slim, and cylindrical with fine bone anda long slender head.

This info is from the ARBA Standard of Perfection.
