We adopted both of these bunnies but don't know for sure what type they are. Can anyone help us? Is Pizzazz a Lionhead? Is Cashew a Himalayan? Thank you for any help! :)

Below are some pictures AND the descriptions they were listed with on Petfinder.com.

Pizzazz is a female lionhead or angora rabbit, or she could be a mix of both. Our vet wasn't sure which breed she is, and I don't know either. She is adorable just the way she is though. She has long fuzzy fur all over her body except on her ears and legs and paws. She was rescued from a horrible breeder. She is 14 weeks old as of 1/07/2008 She was spayed on 12/31/2007. She is very sweet and can be handled and picked up. I have fallen in love with her myself, she is so lovable. She is using her litter box more regularly too. She will really touch your heart :)

Cashew is a male rabbit with gorgeous coloring. He was saved from a bad breeding facility, where rabbits were bred outside in dirty cramped cages. Cashew was saved along with Pizzazz and Almond, and brought to us to care for and find homes. Cashew has had a clean bill of health and has also been neutered. He is a spunky boy, he is full of life and vigor. He loves to dash around and play with toys. He loves balls he can push and rattles. He likes to explore all areas of a bunny proofed room. He doesn't mind being picked up or held too much, as long as there is lots of love and treats involved :) Cashew is 14 weeks old as of 1-16-08. Cashew was neutered on 12-31-07.

Beautiful rabbits!

Pizzazz is a gorgeous Lionhead. Maybe Silver Marten in color (Is the belly white? What color is at the nape of the neck?)

Cashew isn't a Himalayan. Most likely has Netherland Dwarf and may be a Lionhead mix. I've also seen similar Mini Rex mixes. The color is referred to as Himalayan, Pointed White or Californian(depending on breed). For those interested in genetics, appears to be a genetic "broken" himidue to the white feet and white spot on the nose.

Thank you very, very much Pam! I haven't had the chance to look closely at her belly yet (I don't want to freak her out!) but what do you mean about the neck--the skin or the fur?

I know her feet are blackish with white on them.

Thanks again! :)

The color of the fur at the nape of the neck (behind the ears).
