My bunnies are almost 5 weeks old now, so what kinds of veggies should I give them?
Thanks and please look at my post "Losing Weight??" i really need advice on that!! ;)

As pointed out, the babies really should not have it unless Momma was eating them while pregnant. When we were fostering Momma's they had had veggies and such before so the babies got a little and were fine, but otherwise, nothing till around 4 months.

LOL mamas almost always eat veggies when they pregnant. So, when do we start if this is the case?

My 5.5 weeks old would come and eat parents' kale, broccoli, etc. I try not to let them but not always I could.

Just curious - what do you mean by "mamas almost always eat veggies when they are pregnant"? Do you mean your does always eat veggies when they are pregnant?

If you did not own the doe while she was pregnant, you do not know if she was being fed veggies or not. ;) Even then, I would not let the babies eat any veggies until they are older - around 12 weeks, as another member stated. Too much will give them diarrhea and can make them extremely sick. Just let them focus on mama's milk, pellets, and hay for now.

Okay, thanks! Thank goodness i didn't give them any!!! Is it alright that they eat regular grass outside when we take them outside to play??

I mean that most adult rabbits do eat veggies. I don't think that somebody would stop feeding veggies to the doe whogot pregnant (are veggies bad for pregnant?).

I do own a doe who got buns that are 6 weeks old now. and she was eating veggies while being pregnant.

AllI was wondering was what it meant to say"babies really should not have it unless Momma was eating them while pregnant"/ How does it change the situation for bunnies whose mom was eating veggies? Yes, we concentrate on hay, pellets and mama's milk but buns are very interested in veggies. When I am not able to keep them from munching on veggies a little, I don't stress too much.

By the way, whatbunnies' pooplook like? I only see regular-sized droppings. I thought buns' droppings should be small.

unless you're out there half the day, they shouldn't have time to eat a ton of grass so I don't think it's a problem. mine always nibbled small amounts before they were old enough for veggies when I took them to play outside and I never noticed any poop irregularities. I tried always bringing their hay manger with us and hanging it by their water bottle, but they still went mostly for grass :p

my bunnies have always had "normal" size poop even when I got them at 7-8 weeks old, so I guess rabbit poop doesn't really vary by the size of the rabbit
