We've booked a holiday! WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, I guess the title is pretty self explanatory LOL, but we booked a holiday yesterday :biggrin2:

We're going to Kefalonia, Greece, in 7 weeks time... inkelepht:

It's got good reviews from everywhere I've read, bit of a steep walk up a hill from the resort but I'm sure we'll manage... :shock: Small, friendly and quiet, none of that 18-30 Club Holiday malarkey, it's going to be sunny, hot and AMAZING! It has a pool, and I just so can't wait to get there and do absolutely nothing for a week!

This year has been crazy, with my 2 operations, balance disorder, redundancy/possible sacking, moving, Chalk's illness, and Steve setting up his own business and working all hours. He's literally had about 10 days off all year I think, and he often works until midnight, and even through the night to finish work. He's not normally the type to get excited about holidays etc, but yesterday, he just said 'lets go book one. Right now!' Of course I wasn't saying no! We got a great price as we booked in the shop and last-minute (even though it's so far away lol...)

My redundancy is now official- as of 8th September I shall be FREEEEEEEEE! I found out that I'm getting a very healthy payout, which will pay for some of this holiday hopefully... And we're hoping that without the stress of my employers treating me like dirt, I will be able to chill out a bit and hopefully get my balance disorder under control and get some sort of a normal life back...

Anyway, I'm rambling now. We need this break. I CAN'T WAIT!!! :dude:

However, I do feel bad though about leaving the bunnies.... There's plenty of options for their care, which I'll post about in the bunny section shortly... We'll make sure they're well taken care of, and we're only going for a week.... But I do feel really guilty about it... :?

About the buns - send 'em over here I can look after them but cant guarantee you will get them back

I've never heard of Benidorm, the TV programme, that is lol.... I'll have to look it up....

And as for the buns- hmmm, sending them somewhere and not getting them back isn't exactly what I had in mind lol! :shock:



I'm going to sound really spoilt now when I say this, but we've also got another holiday booked this year too. In November we're going to San Francisco for a week Steve used to work for a company freelance, and they wanted him to work a bank holiday, all weekend. He made up some story about how my relatives from San Francisco were over and I hadn't seen them in 10 years, and we had to go visit etc. So they said that if he worked they would buy us flights to go over there LOL. So we're flying for free.... :biggrin2:

Eeek I was so excited I forgot to post that lol! We're going for one week! It's long enough for me, especially with San Francisco coming up a month after... Also, I couldn't be away from the bunnies that long!

Oh, Kefalonia is also where they filmed Captain Corelli's Mandolin as well apparently, if anyone's seen it.... I've not, and I haven't read the book either... I may take it with me and read it there lol!
