Ug, my left eye has been weepy on and off all day. It's been really weird. It was fine when I put my contact lenses in this morning, and then about an hour later on the bus it started to water and my eyes where hard to open as they where sensitive to light.

It got better at work, and it was just a little bit red. But when I went outside again to catch the bus home, it got really bad. By the time I got home I had tears streaming down my cheek. I took my contacts out, but that almost seemed to make it worse.

I had tears on and off, but mainly on for most of the evening. So I went to the doctors.

I either have an infection or something else that requires me to see a specialist (I can't remember the name, but something to do with my iris being swollen).

I'll find out tomorrow morning when I wake up, if my eye is all crusty and pussy, it's an infection. And if it's still weepy and sensitive to light then I have to see a specialist.

So please send some positive thoughts my way to make my eye get better!

This was posted ages ago? It was just last night!

Dawn, are you sure there's nothing wrong with the contact? I get problems like that sometimes when the contact gets a little too old and once when the doctor gave me the wrong size contacts.

I hope everything goes okay. I know there's been a bunch of fungal infections caused by a particular brand name of contact saline, but I can't remember the brand.

I don't think it's my contact lenses. They aren't that old, maybe two/three weeks? And I haven't changed my solution for awhile, there's about 1/4 of the bottle left.

This morning it all swollen still and red around the bottom half of my iris, but it's not weeping. So if it starts weeping again I'll have to cut out of work to go see a doctor.

It really sucks because your eyes affect everything you do.

And I'm also paranoid that if it is some sort of mild infection, that I'll end up giving Wildfire or one of the babies an infection. After I realized what it was, I've been washing my hands before touching them. I really hope I don't pass on any germs/bacteria that will make their wounds infected.
