It's a wet windy wintry mix by us.....yuck.

The snow is all melting and it's raining, so everything is a sloppy mess.

I went around the house and made sure all the downspouts were clear and tried to channel the water away from the foundation as best as possible.
The worst outside corner is the one where the sump is inside, so we usually don't have much of a problem.
The last thing I need is water getting into the basement with the bunnies.......wet bunnies smell weird

I may take off a little early from work. MrsD did something to her leg, maybe a sprain/strain, and I want to make sure she rests and doesn't try to walk the dogs.

We didn't get the winter storm the night before last. Yesterday they started the day out with "It missed us, you will not see anymore accumulations today" - we had a dusting at that point.

I went to work and before I was halfway through, it started to rain..... freezing rain. Then it snowed on that and it snowed all afternoon...... It was a mess! tons of wrecks, closed down all the after school stuff and everyone slid home as best we could.

Boy did they screw up! after last weeks' 8" overnight that turned into "NOT A THING"....... they are hesitating to tell us about another storm coming in on Sunday.......

I had such a fright this evening. I was up at the stables with Smokey when my sister rang me saying her boyfriend had seen a pet rabbit loose on the street that backs onto mine. Needless to say I went into such a panic and rushed home...only to find Millie safe and sound in her hutch snoozing in her litter box.Phew!:faint:Unfortunately I had a look and can't see the poor bunny that he saw anywhere. I hope he is ok.



I'm also very nervous today as one of my friends has a very rare, very serious kidney disease which has been causing her a lot of pain recently, so she had a scan on Tuesday and is getting the results tomorrow. I'm so worried, as her doctor thinks they may be failing.:?I'm just hoping and praying for some good news.ray:

Aww, Jess, I hope that little bunny does OK . Thank goodness it wasn't our Millie. I will be keeping your friend in my prayers.

I may be missing for a while - or at least, not online as much. We move out tomorrow and move in with my mom (poor thing). Have had a nightmare couple of days packing things up, taking things to Charity shops, the recycling places etc. Still loads to do :?.

Thanks Jan.I know, I think she's had a pretty rubbish day so I've baked her (and I don't bake...not well at least) some cookies and I'm going round hers tonight to cheer her up.
