Well, I haven't lost any this week --- but I haven't gained any either so I'm happy.

Hasn't been a very good week for me, I think the weather is finallyeffecting me, as I've been very blah and unmotivated to work out allweek. Plus, we went out to eat Sunday and I pigged out on ribs andmashed potatoes. Like Raspberry said though, depriving oneselfisnot going to help matters any, mentally at least. I figurethat eating out is what prevented the weight loss this week(hada couple of beers too).

So. I am now going to force myself to go downstairs to work out today. Not doing anything isn't making me feel any better about myself andmaybe working out will actually lift my spirits a bit. I'm alsothinking about going tanning, a friend of mine who suffers from SADtold me that it helps her out. Not that I want a tan or anything, Ithink it's something about UV rays, but I'm sick of this blah andlistless feeling I have.

Anyone else feeling that way too?

There is a lot tobe said for the lack of sunshine and the way you are feeling. Even ifyou can sit next to your patio door to the balcony and get some sun. They do that for newborn babies that are jaundiced. It's beenproven to help. Try picking up some of those gardening catalogs andmagazines to go through while your catching those rays! Do that foryourself for a little while each day. That should raise yourspirits! :)You didn't gain any weight! That isprogress for some of us! I finally lost this week! 2 lbs!

I've been feeling so blah the last few weeks I'mgoing on a diet for my health as much as weight. I feel so much betterwhen I'm eating the right foods and exercising regularly that I'm likea different woman.

I'm going to join the Wednesday weigh in just to keep me motivatedotherwise I shall turn into a grey blob who can't be bothered to doanything :(.

So I'm not going to do weighing but check inch loss and energy levels :).

On the subject of SAD they have full spectrum sunlightbulbsin the lights where I work and they do seem to make mefeel better when I'm in there.

Here's to motivation and goals achieved :D. Congrats to both of you.

Kate

I've been trying to do that Raspberry, gettingsome sunshine when I can. When it's sunny I should say! Sunny days arefew and far between here it seems. :(

I think I'm going to get some of those bulbs for our lamps, I think Home Depot should sell some.

I don't believe my weight loss this week. I weighin every Wednesday morning, fresh out of the shower (so there's not aclothing debate--my purse weighs 10 pounds on it's own at LEAST!).Today I weighed myself, cocked my head at the scale, stepped off, stepped back on, rubbed my eyes.... I just don't believe it, honestly.I checked the calibration of the scale and tried again. According tothe scale, I lost 14.2 pounds this week. :shock:That seems abit insane to me. OK, more than a bit. I think someone is messing withme. :p

Good job ladies and welcome aboard, Kate!

That's what I'm sayin' Lissa, I just truly don't believe it

I'm going to weigh myself again tomorrow morning and see if thing are just "off".

There's no way I could lose that much and not notice.

Wow, no kidding. That's a huge amount in oneweek. I know that we do go up and down by a few pounds in even aday....maybe that had something to do with it?

You know what I wish was off? This big flabby belly of mine! :p

Actually, I'm doing well and when I told Dave how much I lost, headmitted very reluctantly that he's noticed. I think he thought thatI'd think he thought I was fat or something. If that makes sense.....

Hey, at least he's sensitive to how I feel about my self image, which isn't the best these days.

Well done everyone! I'm not weighingmyself this week or next... y'see it was Dan's birthday on Tuesday, soI've eaten cake and snacky things over the weekend... In fact, I'vebeen so bad this last week, I don't even want to tell you what I'veeaten!

Then I'm going up to Scotland for the weekend, we leave at 9am tomorrowand come back on Sunday, and I'm going to be eating my most favouritefoods when I'm there! Nothing beats a half pizza supper orcurry sauce from my Dad's local chinese... so I'm eating chips, chineseand pizza all weekend! Not good, but boy does it tasteniiiice! :D Blow the diet this week! I'll be backon the ryvita and bran flakes next week! ;) It'slucky I walk the dog or else I'd be a balloon! :D

Ang, enjoy thatvacation and enjoy your favorite foods! I'm never one to walk away frommy favorite foods either! I imagine when it comes to the Bunny PartyI'll eat like a lumberjack and you all will wonder how I ever managedto lose a pound!

Bluebird, hang in there!;)Stress is such a factor in eating habits and I know toughtimes make for tough diets. There's light at the end of the tunnel!

Everybody- Just remember- Just becausethe week doesn't start well, or the day doesn't start well, or for thatmatter even the meal doesn't start well, that doesn't mean it can'tfinish well. The next decision you make does make a difference. The last few french fries that you don't eat are calories saved. If youdo better at dinner than you did at breakfast and lunch, you savedcalories and you're a step ahead of what you would be if you startedthe next day.

Keep your chin up and a positiveattitude!

Another good tip someone told me is to not finisheverything on your plate just because it's there. I know we were allraised to "clean off those plates", so it can be a hard habit to break.Just eat until you're comfortably full (if you're not restrictingyourself to specific serving sizes that is).

Also, don't forget to drink plenty of water!! And milk, it's importantto get a good amount of calcium, especially for a woman. As you droppounds, you drop bone density and it's especially important for uswoman to watch that.

Its wedesday and i am going to try so hard tostart fresh.. Instead of paying for my gym membership ibought this game for the xbox. It a dancing game and people can loseweight on it, cause its not your typical game. Its fun too so thathelps.

Ok, so its not Wednesday, but, I just wanted to say that I've lost 6lbs!!

I'm not really on a diet, I cut out a lot of the junk food I eat, onoccasion I still have a chocolate bar, I still drink lots of pop lol,but I've pretty much been eating nothing but Subway the past 2 weeks.

I'm surprised, and as much as I hate posting my weight, it's nice tosay I'm finally under 190lbs!! I still have a LONG LONG way to go as mygoal is to be back to 130 or 140. But its a start! I'm gonna go workout tonight and tomorrow.

How is everyone else doing?

Way to go!
