Webkinz Owners?

My daughter got a Webkinz puppy on her birthday this past January. My son and she have enjoyed playing online, and it really helped them connect with each other this summer while my son was at his father's house for 5 weeks.

Last night I got my son back. Today we scheduled a "mommy-son date" together. We went to a movie (Hancock) and just hung out. As a surprise, we went together to purchase a Webkinz for him. He chose a German shepherd and named him Cywius. My son has had a problem with his R's as he has grown up, so the word "serious" always comes out like "sewious." It's a good-natured tease about our house. My son's name is Orion, like the constellation. The dog star, Sirius, follows Orion in the night sky. So he decided to name his Webkinz, "Cywius" to play on the name, and the cute way he used to say the word.

Anyway...the little local drugstore that was selling the toys, offered a free Lil Kinz with the purchase of a regular Webkinz. Soooooo....short story long, I got a bunny Webkinz. Of course, I named her Elf! (even though she's white)

I've been a webkinz addict for 1 year, 4 weeks and 3 days :dude:After my niece talked about and played webkinz for many months here at our house my mom got me the brown horse for my birthday(June 10th). I the same day I bought a Googles but only added it a week or so later. This year I bought a very pretty frog(must prettier in person than on webkinz) which I named Foggy.

I know many people, well into their late 40s who play webkinz, normally they play on their childens' accounts but ome buy their own. Webkinz is not just for kids, it's quite fun.

Last Halloween I went all my money buying the Halloween room theme, our computer crashed so everyday I went to my aunts and played my butt off trying to get more money to buy all I wanted of the theme! The last day it was up I finely bought the last peice I wanted

I've been wanting the rabbit for a long time but I can't find it anywhere here. My niece got the lil kinz one though! She doesn't even much like rabbits! She has like 25+ webkinz but only has like 8 on her account.

I see the bunny all the time. I can't justify the money on one little stuffed animal. Now build a bear....Or should I say build a bunny or monkey.:biggrin2:

Really? Are they that expensive where you are? The one I purchased for my son was $9.99 and the little one was free...so about five bucks for each stuffy. I didn't find that too excessive for a welcome home gift.

Here webkinz are about $12. Some places are higher and some lower but mostly around $12. I'm not sure about the lil kinz as I have not bought any.

Ihad to google webkinz because i had never heard of it before...they look like fun..i don't know if we have them here or not but i'll go searching sometime to see if they dosell them here...i have to check it out!

$10 wasn't alot before all the animals but since I got them I can't justify it.

Yep, I totally understand. I am16 and pay for all my rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, fish, ect, food on my own. $13 will get me a 50lb bag of rabbit food which only last about a week- week 1/2. Guinea pig food is LOADS higher, $10? for an 8lb bag which last 2 weeks. With prices rising I don't know how I'm going to make it. I hardly ever buy anything for ME, the last thing I bought for myself was Stephen King's Cell, it was on sell for $5(marked down from almost $40 dollars) soI had to have it That was the first thing since my frog Webkinz thatI have bought for myself in a year or so, believe it or not.

I noticed some webkinz in the mall, but I didn't have a chance to check them out. They are sold on Ebay, but I don't want to start a collection like the huge amounts of Beanie Babies that I have now.

My neice just got one for her birthday. I am really into all that building and animation stuff on the internet and games like that. I really want one, especially now since I have seen what the site is like. Now that I know there are bunnies, I am going to buy one!!

i have an account. i have a cow, which was my first one. my bro got it for me for my bday last year. i of course have the bunny. i also have the google, since it is so HILARIOUS looking. i have a penguin and the seal who is named after one of my favorite cyclists, popo, short for yaroslav popovych.

addicted to it, and the games. this one, tile tower or something like that is my fav.

My neice just got a kitty webkinz for her birthday. I'd like to get a horse one, they sound neat! Lol.

The webkinz here are outrageous! About $10-$24 a piece! I'd buy one for $10, but all the nice large ones are $24+.

I guess I'll have to start looking for a horse webkinz though, hehe.
