The veterinarian wanted me to continue with the DMSO treatment on her tendon but yesterday, Weatherly decided she was done with it and even though she was eating her grain, she bolted out of the stall and gave me a most disapproving look.

DMSO is nasty stuff - I know as I got it on my hand accidentally and could taste it immediately and when she was initially injured, Weatherly did not mind it but now when she sees me coming with the glove and the container, she high-tails it away from me - not like her as she is normally in my face, pockets... whatever she can touch.

The injury looks much better - I cannot notice it as much now - will try to post pics before and after treatment... if she will let me get a close up of her leg now.:)

LOL! She sounds like such a character!

DMSO is nasty.... it will carryother stuff with it, but I've heard it immediately goes to the tastebuds!

Yeah - it went to mine when I accidentally got it on my arm and it is a nasty, metallic, garlicky taste. Can't imagine what Weatherly thought of it but at least tonight she is hanging around me, once she made sure I did not have the container and the glove with me....

HA! She's not dumb!

I'm so glad she's doing so much better. Mine are back to their normal selves... Pokie being a total witch and worried that someone might get her grain! and Dakota being a big puppy and turd just really happy to get his grain (and trying to steal Pokies! LOL)

Glad to hear Dakota and Pokie are well - how did your SIL's horse make out with his illness?

Yes, things are quietly simmering here - it is COLD here this am and found that Mercy took the two of the three blankets I have for the pigs and she took one which I found in her stall and there was one in Freedom's stall...Freedom is next door to Mercy... :?

Maybe she thought Freedom was cold as well? LOL! Pokie hands the others hay if she gets out in the barn isle to eat. It's funny to watch!

SIL's horse is almost completely over it. He definitely had Strangles..... so we had to isolate him. Six weeks of no contact is what we're being told, but his were bad so I wonder if he won't shed them for longer?

It's cold here as well..... weird weather! We have to go to the barn, strip their stall, get new shavings and all that..... fun ----- NOT!! lol.

Freedom has more hair than Mercy who was just clipped again for a benefit we have to do this weekend.

I was interviewed yesterday by the newspaper - I was laughing as I was asked questions about Mercy as I was thinking at the same time, the reporter must think I am a few sandwiches short of a picnic... LOL!
