Water balloon Launcher

I am thinking that maybe this is a guy thing as my wife and daughter did not find this as much or as entertaining as my son and I. I removed a privacy fence that consisted of 8 - 4" X 4" posts and some lattice weave wood sheets. I had gotten rid of the lattice weave sheets a few weeks back. I just recently removed the posts.

With this being Memorial day weekend in the US and I figured I could rest tomorrow if I strained myself outside today, I had an idea. After I mowed the yard, I borrowed my neighbors post hole digger and dug two holes about 4 feet apart in the backyard a few feet from the patio. Into each of these holes I placed two posts from the privacy fence I took down. Then I attached a water balloon launcher like the one below to the two posts.

Once this was done my son and I filled up some water balloons and launched them at our fire pit, wood pile etc. (I have a rather large yard inside the city limits an acre, very uncommon). While I reloaded our bucket with fresh ammo, my son went inside to get my wife and daughter to see the great project I had completed. They came out on the patio, watchedme shoot a couple of water balloons towards the back of the lot,without speaking a single word, they both smiled and went back inside.

Personally, I think it looks like lot's of fun. The only thing that I notice is that it is a hands-on "activity." Perhaps you should have offered (insisted) that your wife and daughter have the opportunity to launch a few themselves. One cannot appreciate the fun without actually participating in it.

Dont worry it's not just a guy thing, I love doing those sorts a things I use my theraband for my knee exercises and fling lemons! its great fun. I hope you relly enjoyed yourself it sounded fun!:biggrin2:

My brother and I have one and we have a blast getting his wife wet. She doesn't think it is so funny until her and I turn it on him! Seriously though, let your wife and daughter try it...they might like it.
