washing machine question

do washing machines have lint traps? I could swear I remember seeing my mom cleaning out the lint trap in our washer a time or two but that was over a decade ago and I've still got the same washer... anyone know how I'd go about finding it if there is one? I'm guessing it'll be full of hay, lol.

I know dryers do but I've never heard of a washer with one, but I would think if it did have one it would be on the front or top

Refer to the manual or call the manufacturer. To my knowledge, most don't. Dryers function differently so they need on to lessen the chance of fires down the road.

ok, maybe I was just imagining stuff, then like I said, it would've been well over a decade ago. where does large dirt go, then? does it really all fit down the drain?
