Hi again :wave:Two threads in one day, sorry.

I was wondering if anyone could help me in my search for Mini rex. They need to be in a reasonable distance from Jenkins, Ky.

I'm looking for a solid/broken black or tri Mini rex buck. Pedigreed. Show Quality.

and

A solid/broken black or harlequin Mini rex doe that throws show quality offspring.

PS. First and foremost I'm looking for a pedigreed show quality Mini rex. The color and gender I'm not as concerned with.

Why would you want Harlequin's??? They arent showable.. Just wondering??

I breed and show Mini Rex's.. I mean I like the harlequin color.

I'd get a harlequin to breed with the tri. Breeding tri to tri usually results in alot of charlies.

I'd def check your minisout if you were closer :biggrin2:

I have Mini rex. I'm selling my herd buck- i'm getting out of them, he's a broken black otter. I have kits of his in the nestbox, and one is a tri baby, one castor, 3 whites and 1 harlequin. Where is Jenkins KY? I am in Mount Sterling

I'm in letcher county umm.. about 15 minutes from whitesburg. I'm definitely intrested :) Are they pedigreed? How do you think the buck and the tri would do show wise? Pics?

pics of the babies are in the thread i have of Mini rex babies. the buck shows decently, he lacks just a little in density of coat. all my guys are pedigreed, the doe is NY bloodline, he's C.Cuz's I got him down here. Poppy's had a lot of nice little show quality babies, she's brood sized herself.
http://countrycousins.webs.com/- that's where Oreo came from, broken black otter. I'll have to upload a good picture of him. I'll look up where that is, i'm so new to KY still I don't know where much is

The babies are gorgeous:inlove:Does the little tri have the full nose/ear markings (I can't tell, my computer screen is acting wierd) Any idea on its gender? Sorry for all the questions.

I remember a while back whenI was so excited that I'd found a lovely broken black just to find out that he was missing the color abound his eyes :p

Okey doke. I've decided to stay away from tri as I've been told that they are extremely difficult and I'm newer to showing and breeding. I'd still like to purchase your buck though :inlove: I'll PM you my email so we can get in contact

The Tri is well balanced in color-eye, nose and ears, I'm hoping it is a doe-I don't trust myself enough to try sexing them this early. The baby at the top is pure white- the other pure white is fostered into my dutch litter because that mommy only had one and she always produces more milk than necessary. The white looking baby in the bottom of the picture actually has some brown on it- a charlie Tri? Castor and Harlequin baby's are both doing very good. Poppy's always produced Castor in every litter for some odd reason.

Aaahh :inlove:SO CUTE. Are tris really as horrible to breed as I've heard? They're my absolute favorite but I read that they are almost never competitive.

They are hard to get a REALLY good one on the show table. I noticed in NY/Mass/Conn it was rare to see a good one on the table when I was showing them, but they bred out well. Poppy's thrown a ton of different colored children with different bucks. I've had blue, black, opal, castor, tri, REW, Harlequin(black and gold, blue and gold), Himi and Chinchilla

I'm trying to decide weather to pursue it or not :?They're completely gorgeous and I know a few around here who have them. Gaahh! I give up :surrenderme wants purdy bunny :adorable:When do you think they'll be ready to leave? Is saturday ok to pick up the otter? In winchester, maybe in the golden corral parking lot?
