My hubby's birthday is the 6th of this month and i wanted to make a shirt with all the kids foot prints on it that says "My kids walk all over me" So what i need to know is what kind of paint would you use for the foot prints and then what would you use for the words? I have paint that you use for ceramics that i was thinking of using for the foot prints but i wasnt sure, and i wanted to know what to do with the shirt to make sure that the stuff doesnt come off in the wash?

Thanks in advance

Fran, I know they sell lots and lots of different colored fabric paints at the craft store. They sell lots of T-shirts and stuff too, I think it usually takes up half an aisle or so. If you have trouble finding it, ask an employee and they should be able to help you. My mom let us decorate shirts once when we were little kids and it was so fun!

:shock:not this:shock:hop down to your local craft shop and get the proper fabric paints. you could also get the pens so that the little darlings can autograph their prints:biggrin2:

WEll i just got back from Michaels Craft store where i got a shirt, fabric marker, and fabric paint, lol. I will have to take a pic when it is done. The only thing that stinks is that they didnt have a grey shirt so i got white, lol

You could dye the shirt.;)

Put a piece of cardboard inside the shirt to keep the paint from going through to the other side.

Do one side at a time and let it dry before doing the other side.

And, I would just check on the clean up of the fabric paint.... want to make sure it'll clean off the kids feetsies easily.
