Hi, I wasn't sure where else to post this aside from nutrition. I've heard that walnuts are toxic to rabbits, and though it usually mentions the shells, I'm curious about the inside?...I don't plan on feeding her any more or EVER any nuts in general, I'm just concerned about the small piece she's already eaten.

I found out from my dad that he gave her a little piece from his bag of walnut halves. It wasn't too long ago, so I'm not sure if I'd see the effects of it just yet.

Is this serious? Theoretically, should she be okay if it was a tiny amount? ...Or should I take extreme measures right away and get down to a vet or something? So far I suppose she seems okay, but it's hard to tell when you're worried. "She's not attempting to cause trouble and is instead conscious of my staring and just staring back at me doing nothing!? SHE'S ILL!"

A piece of walnut meat makes a good treat. So stop worrying. If the nut was salted &/or roasted that shouldn't be repeated. But tell your dad you want to know beforehand what he's thinking about giving your pet.
