Eek! Not the thing to tell me! I'm going for mylast driving lesson on Saturday and then I can go get my license, notgood if you say all this because I really want to keep my relativelynew drivering record clean. :p

Tell me about it. :?Especially for newdrivers. I mean a guys insurance for a rust bucket of a car can be asmuch as $4500/yearfor a new driver! Girls isn't so bad but itcan be expensive, too. From what's been said, we're supposed to begetting a cap on car insurance which means new male driver's insurancewill go down while new female driver's insurance will increase byOctober. The government should have stepped in a long time ago becauseyou have no choice but to buy insurance, but lots of people can'tafford it. I mean I sure wont be driving my own car for a long timeseeing as how I want to go to university. But don't worry, I'll stop myrant and not go on about high tuition costs like I normally do. :p

I am 28 years old and just got my licence 6months ago. i had a permit for 6 to 8 weeks. It took me two trys topass. My two minor opps was firsti backed into astelephone pole and i never told my husband and my son was talking andmy mil didnt say anything. Well i just kept telling myhusband that he didnt want to know what i did. Then i was telling afriend and hadnt hit anything yet and said opps but you dnot want toknow what i did. and he looks at me and says you hit a telpphone poleand the secret was out of the bag, then one day i backed into a ladythrough a drive thru that was a big opps. lol

i think we were down at the beach, me and my momand my sisters and my dad. me and my dad were going to a bike shop togo bike-riding. on the way home, my dad backed into a tree. now, when isay backed into a tree, i dont mean the side of the tree graced thecar. i mean my dad drove straight into the tree, and the entire backwindow absolutely shattered. we went to the car repair place, and theydidnt have a back windshield, so we had to drive home with a garbageback duct-taped to our back window.

second story. my friend's driveway is conveniently located right nextto a telephone pole. you have noooo idea how many times my mom hasnearly/actually backed into the pole. she actually broke one of herback headlights on one of 'em (same car as above)

Here's a new one,a cyclist ran into myuncles truck! My uncle was going slow to watch for pedestrians at acrosswalk and was almost all the way across the crosswalk when acyclist came shooting across the road, right into the back of my unclestruck.

Ive had bikers hit me too! I live in New Haven CT, right byYale. And a lot of the students use bikes to get around, butthey think they own the dang streets. Been hit 3 times bybikers not obeying the street signs!

I've done the old back into a van routine before.Thank goodness it was my stepdad's. The thing is, he was right there, and I walked by the van three times loading things into my car beforebacking into it. He was able to fix my car and it wasn't a big deal, but still, I felt like an a$$.

Heh I used to do a lot of babysitting... well Ihad one of my clients back into my car with his truck. Not ascratch on his truck, but my poor Acura had the hood folded back@!

My freind used to drive me and another freindhome from school everyday, well, last winter we were pulling intoErick's driveway after a snowstorm we pulled around the corner, kinda, and Chad ( The kid who was driving) lost control of the vehicle weslamed into a basket ball hoop. Chad drives a GEO Tracker. The frontend was totaled, yet yet he sill managed to drive it home afterward. Noone got hurt luckily, but it made us realize how puny the front end ofsome cars really are.
