Volunteering!

Sooo, I am one happy camper today. I got invited to a volunteer group! It may sound like boringness, but not to me! Only 20 people in Southern California get invited in each year, and my friend nominated me. Basically you have a monthly meeting and you need 20 volunteer hours, 15 at-home hours per year (I'll be doing much more!). You also attend and help run 9 big charity events nationwide each year! I love helping people and animals in need. I plan on volunteering mainly at the Humane Society and Helen Woodward, and for my at-home hours, PUPPY RAISING!!! For Canine Companions for Independance. I meet all the living requirements and I'm committed enough to raise a dog for a disabled person. My good friend's mom has a dog (Leon) from there (she is blind), and it is so heartwarming to see how much he assists her in her everyday life. She can do anything and Leon is always by her side! I am just so excited to do this I'm literally bouncing around and trying to channel all my energy into making like 20 different flavor moot hors that I'm not going to drink lol.

AWESOME! I have always wanted to train a service dog for my son who has autism and CP.
Reminds me i need to get into something like that with all my kids in school now! haha

Moochyesh, just send in an application and they come fully trained (if the dog is for your son). If you want to puppy raise, check out the website of the service dog organization near you! That'd be so awesome if we did it together!

We had looked into it, however every place we see has a very high fee for the dogs.

Really? Here it is free and they pay through donations! This is in all organizations! I'll look into some places in Florida, though.

kmaben lol my stupid phone is constantly autocorrecting simple words like smoothie. And I do find the strangest ways to channel my energy... Once I threw cupcakes at the wall to see which one stuck the longest lol
