took our new, still unnamed, bunny to the vet today. all was well, although he did discover she does indeed have vision issues (we suspected that). I supposed its probably a genetic thing. does anyone on here own a blind bunny? She only weighs ten pounds. how funny is it that I'm actually disappointed my bunny is so "small" lol! oh well, maybe she isn't really a flemish giant but some sort of mix, she's big and an absolute love so thats ok with me. her hind end has poo stuck to it, I knew she was dirty back there but hoped better, cleaner conditions would help and i think it has some, But i need to wash her rear. I know bathing is a no no so I'm going to just do her bum and dry her right away, any body have any bathing suggestions?

Aww, I'm sure she will cope well with her poor vision! Just try your best not to startle her with loud noises. Bathing her rear is fine. Use warm water with no soap, get only as much of her wet as is necessary, and have a towel ready to pat her as dry as you can. She will want to hide and lick her soggy parts until she's floofy again, so give her space in a nice warm room to run off and take care of herself in private. She'll come out on her own when she's feeling like a bunny again. :)
