I need Bassetluv! I need to tell her that I am going to choke someone at her company LOL!

I just dealt with their not having their kiosk working and returned movies...... which they have now charged me $75 for....... I am tired.

I thought it was Becknutt that worked for that company... :twitch:

YOU'RE RIGHT! I dont' know why I was thinking it was Bassetluv.......

I am so frustrated. I have been on hold this entire time and longer.....

I have to go to my bank and file a dispute........

NEVER EVER EVER use any company other than redbox video.

I have never heard of that company. I use Blockbuster when renting movies, which happens rarely.

Sometimes companies just suck.

They are the video machines we have now. I won't use that one anymore. They did finally say they would credit my account.

I went to Blockbuster before....... I think we'll use them again. $1 movies are great from the kiosk, but not when they charge you a zillion dollars cause they mess up!

You have that chain, right? They're all over Wisconsin. So much less expensive than Blockbuster and usually a wider selection too.

If you watch a lot of movies, I really recommend Netflix.

I resisted it for a long time, and now I love it. I used to think it would be inconvenient to have to wait for stuff, but it's not that bad. If you watch one movie a week, it's pretty economical.

(Though if the Post Office ends up cutting one delivery day, I will probably cut back to one-dvd-at-a-time, and watch more instant movies.)

We still go to the Blockbuster. We have the game pass: 2 games, no late fees, all year...and the movie pass: 3 movies, no late fees, all year.

In addition to that, we also rent other movies and/or games. We figure we pay at least one salary a year in late fees.

We love watching tv series with no commercials and lots and lots of movies. :D

No where near. Blockbuster or the library or the kiosk..... we live in the boonies..... sorta LOL!
naturestee1 wrote:
LOL, Family Video is a boonies brand for us. The city nearest my hometown had one but no Blockbuster or Hollywood Video (do those still exist?). Too bad for you though.

I think there used to be a family video around here........ but it left.

There are Hollywood Videos but not here.

We should just get digital cable and get pay per view! LOL!

Will and I have Netflix and LOVE IT! We have the $8.99/month plan, which is unlimited movies, one at a time. We normally get our movies twice a week (Wed. & Sat.). We also go to Blockbuster every once in awhile (when we can't wait the extra day or two). Netflix rules!

Another vote for Netflix! Yay!!

Do you get unlimited streaming movies with your plan? I think that's the plan I'm going to switch to if the post office drops one day of delivery. (I've got the 2-at-a-time, 'cause Jason and I like such different types of movies.) We're not too good about getting our movies back in the mail right away, since the post office stopped picking up mail from my apartment last year. (Some people put their outgoing mail on top of the mailbox, but I don't trust that. We get mail delivery, but they took away the outgoing mail box, so I have to go to the post office to mail stuff.)

Anyway, I really like the instant streaming video feature.

I may have to check Netflix out - but does it require a credit card? I don't have one.

WE LOVE Netflix....I think we pay $14.99 per month for three movies at a time. They're really fast too - at least in our area. On Sunday Art recommended I watch "Safe House" with Patrick Stewart because in it he has Alzheimer's and Art wanted me to understand how mom might feel sometimes. I ordered it to be sent out on Monday (I knew they'd be received the latest dvds from us on Monday) - I got it on Tuesday - rented it that night - sent it back on Wed and should have another movie on Friday. Plus I only have to walk to my mailbox to pick up movies and return them.

I do believe Netflix requires a credit cards OR a debit card...we use a debit card now that I think about it.

I pay for Netflix with my bank debit card (which also functions like a credit card).

There is a free 2 week trial, but you do have to give credit or debit info to sign up for that. (I think it's in case someone signs up and then never returns the movies.)

We have the 13.99/mo plan for 2-movies-at-a-time, unlimited per month, with unlimited instant viewing. If you want to get blu-ray movies, it's an extra dollar a month. I really like the instant viewing feature. Although I wouldn't want to sit at my computer through a whole movie, it's great for tv episodes.

It's really fast here, too. There's a distribution facility in my area, so if I put a movie in the mail Monday night, Netflix receives the movie and sends a new one on Tuesday, and I get it on Wednesday. Although it does take a bit of advance planning to get the movie you want when you want it, it's really easy to maintain your movie queue. For new releases, there's sometimes a wait, but I just leave it at the top of my queue and I get it as soon as it's available, no checking back to the rental store.
