Shot this this morning..

This is Patch. She had a bit of an injury as a youngster on a cage in a friends rabbitry so she came to live with me. Being that she does have the stellar genetics, and the docile sweet nature we love with show does, and the eye is an injury and not genetic, like Naomi's, the doe who went to live with my cousin, we decided to see what she'd throw.

We bred her to George, the buck I got from Peg. He was quite delighted to have a date with her.

I thought I would post this, didn't know if anybody had posted anything like this before, but I had seen threads of newbies asking questions about what does it look like when a doe pulls fur..thought this might be helpful..

This is a great video - one of the few things I miss about breeding is watching does pull fur and nest....

Before a doe kindles (delivers) a litter, her gestational hormones actually loosens the the fur so it comes out easier. I've never seen a doe look "uncomfortable" while doing it. Most of my does look content and blissful while making their nest.. (OK, some get frantic and some look bewildered, but they do it anyway.)

That is such a good video Zin!

That was cool, I had never gotten to watch one of my does actually pulling fur when I was breeding. I've seen them building the hay part of the nest, but that's it. I think this will be very educational for new breeders or those with surprise litters.
