Thank you my fellow vets for sacrificing your time, time away from families and risking your neck to keep our country free and a special thank you for those families whose loved one paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Major David H Walters, USAF, Retired.

Happy Veteran's Day to you too, Dave.

I called my dad and told him this morning as well.

Plus, I wore my stars and strips OR cap today in honor of it.

Happy Veterans Day! :USAflagwaving:

Honoring all the men and women who have served our country.
To those that lost their lives, may you never be forgotten.

:USAflagwaving:It's a very special Veteran's day for us this year, since our son is a new A1C with the USAF. He's fresh out of Basic Training, and getting his specialty training at Sheppard AFB in Texas.

I'm very proud of my son and my husband...they are my heroes!

I missed getting here yesterday, but I definitely thought of you, Dave and all the other veterans. Thank you again, for all you have done, given and continue to give for our freedom!

Thank you Dave and son for your service... and for the gift of freedom.

My great uncle was a colonel in the Air Force years ago...Ken Gallagher was his name... I miss him as he passed away years ago - he had a rabbit (New Zealand White)named Frederique that was the first rabbit I ever handled and took care of when I visited his farm.

My uncle Tim was also a Marine... he passed away a few years ago from cancer.

Also, my cousin is in the Navy, other cousins were in the Marines and I have many students who have graduated high school and are now in the service...

I am truly grateful to all our servicemen and women.

I had too many emails and phone calls to cousins and aunts that were in Iraqi and a few friends over now. I did get a thing up on my Facebook for them though

Thanks to all the Vetrans all over the country!!!!
My aunt, cousins, my great grandpa Van(WW1&2 vet) and many many others!
Tim and Eric both ready for deployment in GA right now!

I was out there at his farm when I was 11 and did not have my first rabbit (my parents were anti-bunny) until I was married with kids...:biggrin2: but the love was always there!:pinkbouce:
