Veterans' Day - USA

Today is Veterans' Day in the United States. This day is to recognize and honor those who have fought in any war where the United States has been involved.

For anyone here that is a veteran, or any of their family members are or are current soldiers, please relay the message from me and my family:

Thank you for posting that. :hug1I just wanted to post to let you know that I read this and my husband and I appreciate your thanks! It's nice to know we're thought of!

My husband is in the Air Force, we both have fathers who retired from the Air Force, and I have a younger brother who is active duty in the Navy.

AWESOME! I know wabbitdad was in the AF too. He has a thread going now as well.

I appreciate what you all do and have done. When there's a chance to say thanks I try to. We had a young marine second lt. in the family - was killed in a car crash. My hubby's uncle is a retired Lt. Col. (airborn) in the Marines. There are lots more but those two are the ones I think of immediately.

My own uncle was in the Vietnam war and died many years later from the effects of Agent Orange. He was my hero for many reasons, and I miss him dearly.
