I'm sooo proud of Jazz and Phoenix!! Uncle Jim was firing down the driveway at a stray dog that has been attacking the sheep and Jazz was on one side of the driveway, Phoenix on the other and the two didn't move, their heads shot up but they froze and didn't move with the first shot that went between them the last two were over their heads and they just kept grazing like they didn't even hear it.
I'm just soo proud of them. My aunt's draft which is in the same huge feild/front yard, almost went through the fence when she jumped and tried to get away from it, but she was quite a ways away from the dog. The Mini's (all 4) in the next feild(even farther from the dog) scattered, comepletely freaked out. The sheep are still kind of wigged out, but they killed the two older femalesthree nights ago, and killed the last male(being raised for meat) and almost one of the remaining females two nights ago, so the last two girls, Daffodil and Clarissa are safe and sound in the garage. That dog got all the way up to the garage trying to get after them. My aunt is getting a Llama to put out with them, their pasture is at the bottom of hte driveway. They share their feild with Larry Lunch(angus steer).
I'm just soo tickled at my two. Phoenix I figured would stand still, he's a retired Hunter/jumper. But Jazz we're aren't sure of her background, we know she's got dressage training so we think she might have been a dressage horse at one point. But she is my horse that can't really see and loud noises tend to spook her.
