My cat, Cuddles, has been found. He was at the Chieftain Motel here in Bremerton. He got into someone's vehicle and rode all the way to Rite-Aide or QFC and jumped out. Well he noticed that he was lost when he didn't recognize any of his surroundings. There was a couple at the Chieftain Motel that were feeding the stray cats, so after a while Cuddles let them pet him and grab him, they brought him inside and noticed when Cuddles was sitting on the guy's lap that he had a collar and tags on him. They got online and found that he was someone's cat, they called me and my cell phone, old number was disconnected, so they called my mom's number and she went to get him. A very nice surprise when my mom came to pick me up to go get my mom's best friend's cat, Skittles. I am like "I know this cat". My mom said, "You should, it's your cat". I was very happy to see Cuddles. I about gave up on him and I found out that he about gave up on me. We took Cuddles to my mom's and are keeping him inside for a few days to make sure he is okay. Cuddles and I are very happy to be reunited with each other. When my mom went to get him, she had to corner him and get close enough so he can smell her and recognize her. I go up to my mom's every day and see Cuddles and he is so happy to see me. Cuddles was missing for 3 months, from May 28th to August 31st.
I could not go with her to pick up Cuddles because I was distraught over losing Prince and I get testy at everything when I am emotional.
My mom's best friend gave her cat, Skittles, to me and will be helping me with food and such each month. Skittles is hiding right now, but she is eating and drinking. She has to get used to the apartment and me, Luna(cat), and Sweetie. The reason why my mom's best friend had to give me her cat was because she was getting her grandkids and one of them has breathing problems and she didn't want to chance her getting sick, as my mom's best friend has only 2 sick days.
My advice to everyone is microchip your pets and get them registered on getmehome.com, it will bring them home if they are lost. Also put your pets name on their collar as well. I am so happy for getmehome and microchipping Cuddles. If the couple could not reach me and/or my mom, they would have taken him to the humane society and have them scan for a chip. It really does bring them home again.
