Velveteen Lops

Does anyone else know of this wonderful breed? They are not yet reconized by ARBA but they are a cross between the English Lop and the Mini Rex. They are usually between five and eight pounds and have a ear span of usually fourteen inches from tip to tip. They are very friendly and playful and love to be handled. I got my first one in April, a sr. fawn buck named Niabi. They were started by a Mary Crawford and have been seen on the show tables as a "work in progress" breed. I am hoping to get a doe at some point in the next year or so. You can look them up online. I also have a pic of my buck in my avatar.

I love Velveteens. They are such sweethearts. A friend of mine has some, andis currently working on ear length by tossing in some more English lops to the mix.
