Ok so I have a all Carpeted house and use my vacuum 4 times a day for the whole house.

So I am looking for a good vacuum for under 150.

I now have a oet one but really dont like it. and it is slow;ly using suction this vacuum is a Eureka Pet and I have had it about a year and its already loosing suction.

Now I do use it a lot more them most people having four pets and a fear of people thinking my house stinks I vacuum a lot. So me having it a year is like most people owning one for 3 or 4. Mabye even six.

So I need something that will hold up for a long time.

I amd having new carpet put down in my apartment next year as its required by law here my carpet is over five years old.

so i want it to stay nice

thanks in advance

We have a shark (don't remember the exact model, but I can look later when hubby isn't sleeping as its in the bedroom). Nice thing is it has what they call tap clean filters and its bagless. Tap clean does NOT mean run them under the faucet....it means tap then hard on a surface and it comes clean. We just take the filters out about once every 2 weeks or so and use an air compressor to blow the dirt out of them outside. It has worked for us for several years AND still has its full suction. Oh and we use it several times of a day between all of us.

At work we haveNilflisk, think it's the model or two before this one http://www.nilfisk.com.au/Products/VacuumCleaners/CommercialVacuumCleaners/CommercialVacs/GD910/GD910/Introduction.aspx

And it's a tank! Its used 365 days of the year, and cleans atleast 15 rooms a day, two HUGE hall ways, a HUUUUGE dining room and staircases etc. It's been going for 4 or so years and shows no signs of stopping, the suction is amazing it does, sand, hair, grits, leaves and anything you come across in the hotel industry (which is a lot, and often quite strange things)
