Vacation Veggies

Next month, I'm going out of town for about a week.
I have someone coming to the house twice a day to feed and play with all the pets. She's great with them, so no worries there.

Do you have any suggestions of a good variety of veggies that will remain fresh in the fridge for that long?

Romaine lettuce, Italian Parsley, Parsley, and Carrot last the longest here. We also use dandelion and cilantro, but they usually only last about four days.

I agree with Nancy. When I leave for a week I will wash and portion veggies into individual serving baggies to make it easier on the sitter. It also helps them last longer to put a piece of paper towel in the baggie to keep them from getting soggy. Anything like cucumber that has to be used in the first couple days is put into it's own baggie in case of spoilage.
