We have new champagne de argents they are 5 months old. The hucth we built them has a removable sleeping box. I put straw in but now they are using it as a littler box. Today I removed the box and cleaned it out. I did not return it to the hutch. We made these to provide shelter and a hiding place. Should I return the box to the hutch?

Do you also have a litter box? It sounds like they're making this a litter box - yay for you! Why take it out? Let it be the litter box. That only simplifies clean up for you.

me... I"d leave it off until they were well established using another area as a litter spot. Otherwise you'll have to get them a different "sleeping spot".

They are outside rabbits.I dont mind the mess since its going on the ground in the garden. I put it back in but removed the bottom this way they still have a place to hide. noticed if they get frightened they go in it. The hutchs have wire bottoms.
